Bill Porcher - Entrance to Farm

Twenty-four years ago I began my career training Arabian show horses
under the direction of the legendary Billy Harris and Chuck Kibler.
I trained western pleasure horses for Sandspur, Tom Chauncey Arabians, Adams Arabians, Midwest Training Centre and Royal Oaks Arabian Center prior to purchasing our Santa Ynez, CA ranch in 2001. Over the years I have enjoyed the success of many great horses and wonderful friendships that have transpired through the Arabian horse.

The recognition of my accomplishments by my peers has been very gratifying. The nomination for the Horseman’s Award 6 times, winning the Western Pleasure Trainer division twice, and the USAE Western Pleasure Trainer award in 2001 are memorable moments to treasure for a lifetime.
In 2004 I’ve enjoyed another dimension of the Arabian Horse. My 8-year old daughter began her show career and is off to a great start (I never realized I would be so nervous for a Walk-Jog class)!

My goal is to prepare my horses both mentally and physically, ensuring suitability for open or amateur competition. At the end of the day, I take great pride and satisfaction when reflecting on the accomplishments of the horses.
We welcome visitors to our farm and participate in the AHA Discovery Farm® and Mentor Network programs. As you drive thru the Los Padres National Forest, you encounter the most breathtaking views on the Central Coast of California. When you arrive in Santa Ynez, you get a glimpse of the old west and the small town “feel” that gives the Santa Ynez Valley its charm.

We have begun breeding Half-Arabians sired by multi-national champion CA Hermoso++/ with great success. This year’s bay tobiano filly out of Frosty’s Jewel+/ is one of the nicest Half-Arabians Hermoso has sired.
We welcome your visit and inquiries. National quality Arabian and Half-Arabian show horses available for purchase.
